スティービー・ワンダーは私の好きな歌手の一人だ。特に好きな曲が「I Just Called to Say I Love You」である。この曲で思い出すのは、右手に受話器を持って体を揺らしながら歌うスティービー・ワンダーの姿だ。私自身が最初にしっかりこの曲全部を聞いたのは、高校生の頃に聞いていたNHKラジオの英会話入門で紹介されたときかもしれない。そういえば、菅野美穂と武田真治が出演していた「君の手がささやいている」というドラマの主題歌で使われていたのも覚えている。当時はいろんなCMやドラマでスティービーワンダーの曲が使われていたと思う。YouTubeで検索したら、最初に主題歌として使われた映画の「The Woman in Red」のビデオがとてもおもしろかった。
